Yes, quest2 is compatible. Quest2 pros: * wireless. * cheap. * higher resolution @ lower fov => sharper image? * portable, no base stations required. * standalone (not relevant to Alyx, but still a big pro) Index pros: * higher refresh rate.
Forget the Index just pick up a Quest 2 with a generic link cable off Amazon and you're good to go. $325 to experience a game like no other is absolutely worth it in my opinion.
